Booking & Accommodation Tips
Tickets for the Stratford theatres and other interesting places to visit are generally available for most days throughout the season. However one will find that your favourite B&B or the one you may wish to try for the first time will be booked very early in the season especially for the busy season from May through October. This is true for "A Valley View B&B". With our ability to offer you complete privacy (you are the only guests) in combination with the spaciousness of a full apartment suite to do as you wish and very affordable rates we tend to book quickly as one would expect. We therefore encourage you to book as far ahead as possible. That being if it is a last minute booking don't hesitate to contact us you may still be lucky!
PAYMENTS ACCEPTED:
We accept cash, traveller's cheques and personal Canadian cheques with identification. Please view our rates page for more details.
NUMBER OF GUESTS:
Our accommodations can house up to 4 people comfortable. There is available a fold up cot and a full height air bed if needed.
CANCELLATIONS:
Cancellations up to two weeks prior to your reservation do not incur any penalties.
DIETARY NEEDS:
We are happy to accommodate any special dietary needs. Additionally with a full kitchen included in the apartment suite it becomes easy for you to prepare any meals that will suit your diet and make your vacation so much more pleasant and secure.
CHILDREN:
We accept children 12 and over. "A Valley View B&B" has wonderful amenities including a river, woodland hiking trails that the older children will enjoy as do all our adult guests.
PETS:
There are no pets allowed in the B&B itself in deference to future guests who may be allergic to animals. However if your dog is content to be in a crate in an outbuilding (to which many large dogs are accustomed) he/she will then be able to enjoy some lovely runs with you on the trails. Maybe a swim in Fish Creek, not to mention those lovely scents of rabbit and deer! We do have dog crates both wire and plastic (large size) which you may use.
CLOTHING:
As you are the only guests there is no worry about dressing for "breakfast company". In fact you may wish to enjoy a leisurely breakfast in your "jammies" inside or out. We do however suggest you bring some walking clothes and good shoes to enjoy the spacious gardens and the hiking trails. This is indeed a nature lovers paradise with abundant flora and fauna. Binoculars are at your disposal but bring your camera for those memorable pictures.
WEATHER:
While we cannot control the weather we can offer you the space to enjoy your vacation even if the weather is inclement. You will have a small library at your disposal and a variety of board games. Of course you will also have satellite T.V. and free WiFi. Best of all with your own kitchen and living room you will have the space and privacy to relax and enjoy yourselves. No worries about what to do on a rainy day!

While guests are completely free to explore and enjoy on their own your hostess is also pleased to offer you a guided hike on the trails whenever possible. Please ask at time of booking or before arrival. Jacqueline will be able to point out some of the flora and fauna, some of the nice views available and give you some of the history surrounding the property.
